BSS Showbiz Academy – An Exclusive Invitation...

BSS Showbiz remains the Midland’s most successful part time school of performing arts with a reputation for quality performances.   Over our 7 years of growth, many of our cast members have gone to work professionally in Performing Arts . We’ve noted an increase in teenage members requiring more demanding roles in a dedicated environment and for this reason, Academy is now open!

 

What is it ?

A new workshop with more advanced skills aimed at teenage cast members who are looking to take their potential careers to the next level.  The maximum in the group at any time will be 20 cast members.

 

Where is it ?

At Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday afternoons between 2.00 – 4.30pm.

 

Can I join ?

Existing teenage BSS Showbiz members are automatically qualified to apply – new members 13 + will be able to apply but only if they have proven experience.

 

Can I do both ?

Yes – if you want to come to Saturday mornings and afternoons you are most welcome !

 

What do we do ?

Drama, Musical Theatre, Movement, Script Creation and Writing, Improvisation, Verse and Prose, Theatre History, Stagecraft Terminology with advanced skills and technique.   Workshops will include Audition skills for Theatre and Television.

 

Who are the presenters ?

Some of the familiar experienced BSS Showbiz workshop leaders together with visiting

speciality guest professionals

 

Do we perform  ?

Yes – definitely !   More demanding and detailed plays and presentations in local venues such as The Old Joint Stock Theatre.

 

What does it cost ?

Exactly the same as Saturday mornings (£19.99) with the same payment terms of every 2 weeks.
