Introduction
Throughout the country, and in particular in the Midlands a wealth of talented young people and their parents looking for high quality education balanced with academic excellence, currently have only the choice of a London based full time Theatre School.
Recognising the need for a Midlands based centre of excellence, Birmingham Independent School of Performing Arts will open in the future as a specialist full time performing arts school offering excellence in vocational and academic education for young people 11 to 18 years of age. Birmingham’s most creative and arts intensive areas, Moseley to become a centre of excellence.
Recognising the unique creative atmosphere required of a specialised establishment like this, we are currently converting a wonderful character building, The Old Fire Station in one of Birmingham’s most creative and arts intensive areas, Moseley to become a centre of excellence.
BISPA IS NOW OPEN as a new Rehearsal and Training space for Arts organisations needing facilities in Birmingham and this website will be updated at regular intervals with news of our developments.

Stage School
BSS Showbiz is the sister school of BISPA. It has been based at Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre for the past seven years on Saturday mornings for young people aged 5 to 18 years.
